FILMMAKING BIO
Chris is a filmmaker and Visual Effects supervisor with VFX credits including productions such as PACIFIC RIM UPRISING, ASSASSIN’S CREED, AVENGERS : AGE OF ULTRON, MAN OF STEEL, THE HUNGER GAMES : CATCHING FIRE, TRIPLE FRONTIER and Apple TV +’s FOUNDATION series.
In 2020, Chris earned his first Second Unit Director credit on Oliver Milburn’s post-apocalyptic thriller SCHOOL’S OUT FOREVER.
He has written and directed several award-winning short films. His latest short PIPPO tells the poignant story of a sad clown using a hybrid approach of miniature photography mixed with computer animation. His horror short FATHER, a disturbing metaphor for child abuse, was released in 2018 after more than 40 screenings. THE LAST DANCE, a touching Sci-Fi love story which was produced with support by VFX powerhouse Double Negative, has recently completed its festival run. It is his most ambitious film to date.
In 2015, Chris released his horror short 20 HZ which has been praised for its atmosphere and assured direction. His film LIFE EXTERNAL won 3rd prize out of 217 submissions at the renowned Sci-Fi London 48hr Film Challenge 2014. The year prior, his romantic short VALSE garnered numerous awards, most notably Grand Prize at the 2013 Movie Machine Digital Cinema Festival. In 2012, he won the “Million Hits Viral Competition” with a spec beer commercial.
In 2016, Chris published a series of carefully designed viral videos showing a giant sea monster in the river Thames that received dozens of millions of views and generated massive hype in the UK’s capital.
At present, Chris is developing more short, TV and feature scripts to direct in the future.
As a visual artist, Chris has an excellent command of the cinematic language, using it meaningfully to maximize the emotional impact of his work. He has thorough knowledge of and a deep passion for every part of the filmmaking process, and loves nothing more than making great things with great people. He is always looking for new challenging and ambitious stories to tell.
Chris also produces electronic music in his free time.

VFX BIO
Chris Keller is an Emmy-nominated VFX Supervisor at beloFX. He is currently working as VFX Supervisor for an unannounced AppleTV+ project after serving in the same capacity on the streamer’s rom-com GHOSTED and hit sci-fi series, FOUNDATION. For his work on Foundation, Chris and his team received two VES Awards — including ‘Outstanding VFX in a Photoreal Episode’, and an Emmy nomination.
Prior to joining beloFX in 2022, Chris accumulated 12 years of experience at DNEG, where he supervised global teams on major productions such as TRIPLE FRONTIER, HOLMES & WATSON, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP (as second unit on-set supervisor) and PACIFIC RIM UPRISING (as DFX supervisor). Chris first joined DNEG in 2010 and rose to the ranks of supervisor in just five years. His early filmography includes titles such as AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, MAN OF STEEL and THE HUNGER GAMES : CATCHING FIRE, to name a few.
Chris has significant on-set experience, and has directed multiple splinter units and element shoots. In 2020, he earned his first 2nd unit directing credit. An accomplished filmmaker, Chris has written and directed nearly ten acclaimed short films. This filmmaking background gives him a broad perspective of the entire production process and the ability to effortlessly communicate with every department.
